Good Wednesday evening. Those pesky showers continue to work across the bluegrass region this evening and that trend will carry us into early Thursday.
These showers are in response to the big upper level low we have been talking about for days. This thing is FINALLY started to work to the east and will get out of here on Thursday. Until then, a few showers and sprinkles will be possible and you can track these here…
A couple of notes on where we go from here…
– Winds are going to crank Thursday afternoon and evening as a strong cold front swings in. Gusts to 25mph will be possible.
– This front will touch off some scattered showers Thursday evening and night.
– MUCH colder air moves in behind it for Friday into the weekend. This could lead to the first frost of the season for many areas.
– To show you how cold this air is… some snows may fly as close by as the West Virginia mountains.
I will talk about more in depth about this blast of air with the early Thursday update.
Have a great evening and take care.
