Good Friday evening everyone. Many of us will be out and about over the next several hours. From high school football games to date night, the weather outside is on the chilly side as northwesterly winds gusty up.
Showers are common across northern and eastern Kentucky and this trend will carry us into the overnight hours. Temps will continue to drop this evening with upper 40s and low 50s common by late evening.
This is the start of a rather nasty weather weekend for much of central and eastern Kentucky. Some quick notes…
– Saturday will see highs near 50 in the east to low and mid 50s central and near 60 west.
– Scattered showers will hang tough in the east. Winds will continue to be rather gusty.
– Frost is likely for much of the state Sunday morning. The east may have some clouds to keep the frost at bay.
– The system responsible for the big cold shot looks to be cutting off and this means a slower departure with some clouds and showers lingering into Sunday for the east.
A full update comes your way early Saturday. Have a great evening and take care.
