Good Wednesday evening everyone. A potent system across the plains states is slowing working into Kentucky this evening. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are rumbling across far western parts of the state.
This is a sign of things to come for central and eastern Kentucky as we roll our way into Thursday.
You can see the action to our west on regional radar…
Much of the area will pick up a quarter to a half inch of rain Thursday into Thursday night. Local amounts can hit a half to one inch… especially for those who get in on some thunder.
Winds are going to really crank up later Thursday into Friday as much colder air moves in. Gusts to 30mph will be possible during this time and that will surely bring down a lot of leaves.
Friday’s highs will range from the upper 50s to low 60s and there is still the chance for some leftover showers early in the day.
The weekend still looks good before a BIG change takes place into next week. I will talk more about that with the next update. Have a great evening and take care.
