A Late Weekend Update

Good Sunday afternoon everyone. Wow! What a great weekend we are wrapping up across the bluegrass state. Highs today have spiked close to 80 degrees in many areas as our winds continue to gust up. All of this is about to change in a big, big way and I wanted to drop by for a quickie update.

Let’s start with the present and work forward. A couple of showers have popped along a weak cold front to our north. This boundary will slide in here overnight into early Monday and may bring a shower into our region. Here is regional radar to track this action…

That will knock our temps way down for Monday… especially across the north.

The BIG change starts Tuesday as a powerhouse cold front works in from the west as low pressure moves across the region. This setup means a lot of rain and wind increasing for Tuesday and should also create a mega temp gradient. Check out the forecast highs from the GFS model…

Those 40s would then crash in from the west for Wednesday and Thursday as our temps run on the VERY cold side of things. Brrr!

I told you this would be a winter looking pattern and mother nature looks to deliver on that. A full update comes your way later tonight. Have a great rest of your Sunday and take care.
