Good Wednesday, my friends. Thanks for making us one of your stops for all things Kentucky weather. We have another big pattern change working into the bluegrass state and those changes are already showing up out there today.
Before we dive in and break it all down. Let’s take a look at the 5 Day Forecast…
Showers and some isolated thunderstorms will be with us today as a strong cold front works toward the area. Temps today should generally run in the 60s north with some 70s south.
The cold front will slowly cross the state overnight as a wave of low pressure forms along it. This will really bring an increase in the rain and some areas can pick up more than an inch of water.
That low works to our east tomorrow as MUCH colder air sweeps in behind it. The day may start in the 50s before temps fall into the 40s as gusty northwesterly winds kick in.
The air coming in for Halloween Weekend is going to be well below normal. The big question still centers around a possible second storm impacting the state late Friday into Saturday.
The American Models have been showing a weaker system diving in from the northwest on Saturday. This could touch off some showers to go along with chilly temps. Several of the other models I look at are showing a bigger storm working from the south and up the east coast.
Back to the weather of today and your regional radar to track the action…
Enjoy your Wednesday and take care.
