Good Saturday everyone. Today is a big day for the city of Lexington as the annual Christmas Parade fills downtown with holiday joy. Winter coats, gloves, scarves and hats are all in order for the thousands lining the streets.
Temps for the parade will be right around the freezing mark with mostly sunny skies. You might want to get there early enough to stand on the sunny side of the streets as those in the shade will really be shivering.
Highs today across the entire state should run in the low and mid 30s. Follow your favorite thermometer:
The rest of the forecast goes a little something like this:
Sunday starts out with temps into the upper teens and low 20s with afternoon highs warming close to 40. We are getting a much needed dry stretch of weather that should carry us through Monday.
The threat for some showers moves back in for Tuesday and Wednesday as we go back into another active pattern. This looks to set up another wintry threat by next weekend.
Have a great Saturday and take care.
