Good Tuesday everyone and welcome to the final day of January. Today is going to feel more like a spring day out there with temps making a run toward the low 60s in many areas. This will be followed up by some springtime showers to begin February.
Are you sensing a spring theme with this post?
High temps today should hit the 60-65 degree range for many areas. Track the temps closest to where you live:

Clouds will begin to increase as the day goes on and a few showers will be possible by the evening hours. This is in response to a weak area of low pressure that will work northeastward into the region overnight and Wednesday. This is mainly a light rain maker with a small chance for some thunder.
Here’s a look at the rain forecast from the GFS:
A quarter to a half inch will be possible for many areas.
Temps won’t move much once the system works to our east. The 5 Day forecast continues the mild look.
I will continue to keep an eye on the weekend forecast as it all hinges on a potential storm system and closed low. Those are always tough to forecast and this one is no different.
Have a great Tuesday and take care.
