Wet Weekend Taking Shape

Good Friday to one and all. We are rolling into the weekend on a very pleasant note across the bluegrass state. Sunshine and mild temps will give us a fantastic Friday of weather. Don’t expect this to carry over into our Super Bowl Weekend.

Skies will be partly sunny today with high temps warming into the low and mid 50s. Afternoon clouds will be on the increase ahead of a slow moving storm heading in for the weekend. Rain will increase overnight into early Saturday and that’s sets us up for a soaker of a day.

Check out the progress of the rain from the NAM simulated radar:

The rain becomes much more scattered by Super Bowl Sunday and we should squeeze in a few dry hours. Temps this weekend will be chilly with readings in the 40s for highs.

The rest of the forecast goes a little something like this:

Temps will try to come down into the 30s by the middle of next week as a deep trough tries to dig in across the eastern part of the country. Will it bring some snow with it? We will tackle that question in the coming days.

Have a great Friday and take care.
