A Slushy Snowfall Ahead

Good Tuesday evening. Wet snow is on the way to the bluegrass state late tonight into early Wednesday. This fast moving system will zip in and out of here and will blanket the area with a small snowfall.

Here’s what I’m thinking:

Areas across the northern half of the state will have the best shot at seeing up to an inch of wet snow. A lot of what falls will melt because of the warm ground. Elevated and grassy surfaces should see the bulk of this light snowfall. Road temps are well above freezing, so travel shouldn’t be greatly impacted.

The light snow will taper off to flurries from west to east on Wednesday.

We have another shot of snow coming our way to kick off a very cold weekend. I will touch more on that later tonight. Have a great evening and take care.
