A Scattered Storm Before It Gets Warm

Good Wednesday to one and all. Temps continue to slowly inch upward across the bluegrass state and that trend will continue into the weekend. There may be a slight pause in the warmer action on Thursday behind a cold front that arrives on the scene later today.

We will see a mix of sun and clouds today as southwesterly winds pick up ahead of our front. This front will touch off a line of scattered storms that drops in from the north and you can track it here:

Highs today will warm close to 80s in the south and into the middle and upper 70s for the rest of the area.

Slightly cooler air works in for Thursday as our temps stay in the low and middle 70s. Skies look mainly sunny as our takes on a gorgeous look and feel.

Readings on Friday will warm toward the low 80s by the afternoon and that is a sign of things to come. Take a look at your weekend high temps from the GFS:

Humidity levels will also be on the increase during this time and that’s a setup that can lead to some pop up storms each and every day. These should be few and far between and similar to what we see during the summer months.

Enjoy your Wednesday and take care.
