Good Saturday and welcome to the weekend. It’s a weekend that will have many of us thinking we are in the heart of summertime. Temps continue to run well above normal over the next few days and that’s a sign of things to come. Thermometers may get even hotter as we get closer to Memorial Day Weekend.
High temps today will hit the middle 80s for most of the region today under a mostly sunny sky. Humidity levels will be on the increase today as well and that may help to pop a scattered shower or thunderstorm.
We will replay this same forecast for Sunday and may even add a degree or two to thermometers.
Our thunderstorm chances will kick it up a notch as we roll into Monday and Tuesday. The GFS:
Temps will come down a few degrees and be closer to 80 for highs due to clouds and scattered storms.
The pattern for the end of next week into Memorial Day Weekend is looking HOT. A huge heat ridge is going to build into our region and this could mean we hit 90 degrees for the first time this year. Here’s the European Model showing the dome of heat:
