Scattered Storms Continue

Good Tuesday to one and all. The threat for showers and thunderstorms continues out there today and this trend may carry us into Wednesday. This is giving us a nice little break before an early season heat wave builds in for the upcoming Memorial Day Weekend.

The showers and storms today will be slow movers and can drop a lot of rain in a short amount of time. This could lead to some localized flash flooding… especially across the east. Here’s the stat radar to watch the storms:

Temps today will be held in check with most areas staying in the 70s.

Scattered showers and storms should hang around into Wednesday across the eastern half of the state. Temps will begin to climb back toward the low 80s. That will lead us into some very hot early season temps around here.  The European Model shows the hot air surging in here from the plains:

Temps in the low and mid 90s will be possible across the entire state over the holiday weekend. Those readings could put us into record setting territory before all is said and done.

Have a wonderful Tuesday and take care.
