Good Monday everyone and Happy Memorial Day. Today is the day we honor all those brave men and women who have served and continue to serve our country. I simply say thanks to each of you. The weather out there today continues to run on the steamy side as we await some big changes for the week ahead.
High temps today will be near 90 for most of the region. We will see readings a degree or two below the last few days as I do anticipate more clouds and some scattered storms going up. Let’s check out the regional radar for some heat relief:
A cold front will then swing through here late Tuesday and this will give us a much better chance at showers and storms. Here’s the GFS:
Temps will start to fall with readings on Tuesday and Wednesday closer to 80… especially in the north.
An area of low pressure will develop just to our west on Thursday an ride right on top of us by Friday. This means a good shot at widespread rain and thunderstorms across the state and also means temps are going to take a little plunge.
We could see readings not too far from 70 for highs as we say hello to June.
Enjoy your holiday and take care.
