Good Tuesday everybody and thanks for checking in on the blog. We have quite the streak of cooler than normal temps going across our region. That trend looks to continue for several more days before we start to turn the summer heat back on.
We may still have to contend with an isolated shower or thunderstorm going up today and Wednesday. A mix of sun and clouds will be noted as our temps hang out in the low and middle 70s for highs. We should be in the low 80s for early June, but mother nature is cutting us some slack.
We should squeeze out one more mild day Thursday before warmer temps arrive. Readings by Friday hit the lower 80s and then surge into the upper 80s to near 90 over the weekend into early next week. The numbers from the GFS tell the story:
The warmer temps will also come with an increase in humidity levels as our flow becomes more south and southwesterly. This should lead to a better threat for showers and thunderstorms by early next week.
It doesn’t look like that heat ridge will hold very long as temps should start to fall back toward normal by the second half of next week.
Here’s hoping you have a wonderful Tuesday. Take care.
