Good Thursday everybody. Our day in weather will be another very nice one across the bluegrass state. Humidity levels will stay down as our temps hang around normal highs for this time of year. That is about to change as we head into the weekend as we increase the temps and humidity levels. We may throw a stray thunderstorm or two into the mix to keep it interesting.
Highs today will range from 80-85 degrees under mostly sunny skies. The day as a whole will average below normal, thanks to a fairly cool start to things. Here’s your daily dose of temp tracking:
Friday will be the day we start to notice an increase in the muggy factor. Temps will warm well into the middle 80s as humidity levels start to climb. That trend carries us into Saturday and Sunday with mid and upper 80s common.
What about the threat for a shower or thunderstorm? We need the rain, but it looks like mother nature will only give us some afternoon action that’s scattered about the area. You can see the GFS suggesting Sunday as having the best shot at some storms:
The pattern into early next week remains warm and humid with a big change lurking for the end of the week. That change could mean the return of cooler air and a decent chance for showers and thunderstorms. I will take a helping of both, please.
Have a terrific Thursday and take care.
