Heat and Humidity Kicks In

Good Tuesday everyone and welcome to a mini heat wave. Temps will be around 90 degrees for the next few days to go along with high humidity levels. There is some good news coming by the end of the week into next week as a couple of cold fronts sweep some cooler air in here.

The forecast for today is straight forward. Highs will be near 90 under mostly sunny skies. Humidity levels will increase and make it feel even hotter than it is.

Wednesday may end up being the hottest day of the week with temps in the low 90s. There may also be enough juice to fire off an isolated storm or two… especially in the east.

A cold front arrives on the scene late Thursday into Early Friday. This bad boy will bring us a better chance for some showers and storms. The GFS shows this on the rainfall forecast:

Temps by Friday and Saturday will drop into the low to mid 80s for highs with lower humidity levels.

The heat will surge back in on Sunday ahead of a more powerful cold front. This front may touch off a line of strong or severe storms late in the day into early Monday. It will also carve out a deep trough across the eastern part of the country and send the heat west…

Have a great Tuesday and take care.
