Good Thursday everyone. We have had our share of heat and humidity over the past couple of days and we will squeeze out one more steamy day today. All of this will change as a cold front sweeps across the state tonight into Friday. This will bring scattered storms and cooler temps with it.
Highs will approach 90 yet again today under partly sunny skies. Isolated storms can go up at any given point or time today. The shower and storm chances increase later tonight into Friday along our front.

Temps by Friday will come down into the low and middle 80s as the scattered stuff slowly pulls away. This will leave us with a gorgeous Saturday with highs staying on the comfy side. Here’s the GFS Temp forecast for Saturday:
Readings will rebound toward the hot side on Sunday as southwesterly winds gust ahead of a strong cold front. That front blows through here Monday and brings a blast of pleasant weather to the region.

The pattern looks more like fall than early Summer. It’s also one that can fire up a tropical system in the Gulf of Mexico and that may impact the overall pattern over the next week or so.
