We’re In Rare Air

Good Thursday evening. Wow… what a hot weather day across the bluegrass state of Kentucky. This is one of the hottest summer days on record for the state as a whole and the same can be said for the city of Lexington. Here’s some numbers to back it up.

– This was our first 100 degree day since 2007.

– This is the first 100 degree June day since 1988.

– This is the hottest June Day since 1944.

– 102 is third hottest June temperature on record for Lexington.

Friday has a shot at being even hotter with readings getting as high as 105. The only thing that can prevent this from happening would be some clouds or scattered storms moving in from the northwest.

Stay cool and take care.
