Good Monday and welcome to another week full of thunderstorm chances. It’s apparent our weather pattern has turned the corner toward a wetter one and this is paying off in the drought department. It looks like the weather this week will continue to try to make our brown grass blue again. Blue… green… you get the idea.
The storm threat today into Tuesday won’t be as high as what we’ve had recently. The stuff will be more isolated in nature, but could still put down some good rains for some.
Temps today and Tuesday will start to toast up as and combine with the humidity levels to increase our sweat factor. Highs near 90 will be possible today with low 90s coming for Tuesday and Wednesday.
A stout cold front will work in late Wednesday into Thursday with an increase in showers and storms. This action may become pretty widespread at times and it’s a setup that can put down much more in the way of locally heavy rains.

That would certainly make for another successful week of rains across the bluegrass state.
The overall pattern for the next few weeks is one that looks to feature rounds of showers and storms as cold fronts dive in from the northwest.
