Good Tuesday to one and all. The heat and humidity is returning to the bluegrass state for a few days as our hot summer keeps on keepin’ on. More in the way of scattered boomers will be likely today with another soaker looming over the next couple of days.
Temps today will head toward the 90-95 degree range for much of the area. Throw in the high humidity levels and it may feel like 100-105 degrees. That’s wimpy compared to the heat from a few weeks ago, but you still need to take it easy out there.
Scattered storms are likely to return today and these will be slow movers that can put down torrential rains in short amount of time. Let’s follow today’s heat and storms:
Wednesday will see temps back into the same range with a better threat for showers and storms during the second half of the day. This action is ahead of a cold front that arrives here Thursday and is likely to bring widespread rains back to the bluegrass. Check out the totals from the GFS during this time:
Cooler air will then filter in behind the front with 80s for highs from Thursday into the start of the upcoming weekend.
Have a great Tuesday and take care.
