Good Sunday to one and all. Here’s hoping the blog finds you having a wonderful weekend. The weather is doing its part in making things rather pleasant with some sunshine and normal summertime temps. Normal just doesn’t last very long around here and the pattern for the week ahead is one you may have seen before.
Hot and humid conditions with rounds of storms are in the forecast as next week tries to copy the weather of this past week. The setup is one that will feature the core of the heat well to our west in the plains states. This will send little jabs of heat our way as highs hit the 90-95 degree range from time to time.
The orientation of the heat ridge means we need to watch the northwestern sky for thunderstorms to come rolling into town. This will especially be the case for the middle and end of the week. Here’s the pattern I see shaping up:
This could mean more round of strong storms and torrential rains before the week is over and that’s something we will have to tackle on a day to day basis.
In the short term… temps today will head toward 90 as the humidity increases. There is the smallest chance for a stray storm or two. Monday looks similar with another degree added to the thermometer and another percentage added on the storm threat.
Have a wonderful Sunday and take care.
