Good Tuesday everyone. The threat for severe storms has returned to the bluegrass state as we track storm clusters in from the northwest. These storms will increase in coverage and intensity today and that trend will likely carry us for the remainder of the week.
A weak boundary is working southward into the Ohio Valley today. Hot, humid and unstable air is in place across Kentucky and this combination will help fuel the storms. Here’s what to expect:
- The strongest storms will produce high winds and hail.
- Torrential rains will be possible and this may lead to some localized flooding issues.
- Another light show will be possible. The storms last week were famous for the amount of lightning they produced and the ones today could be similar.

I will have updates as needed and will send out updates via twitter. Have a great Tuesday and take care.
