Good Thursday everyone and welcome to another severe weather day. We have been pointing toward today as a possible severe weather outbreak and it looks like mother nature may deliver. Severe storms will be possible today from Missouri all the way into New England. The bluegrass state is right in the middle of it all and that isn’t a good place to be.
Heat and humidity will be noted again today and this will combine with a cold front to get a squall line of storms going later this afternoon and evening. This line of storms will form to our northwest and come rolling into town late afternoon into the evening hours. Damaging winds appear to be the primary threat for the boomers that go up later today.
Additional showers and storms may hang with us into Friday, but these don’t appear to carry as much of a widespread severe potential.
I will have updates as needed through the day and will be sending out rapid fire updates via twitter.
Let’s get to tracking today’s action…
Have a great day and take care.
