Good Friday everyone. We’ve made it to the end of the week and all geeked up for the weekend that’s upon us. Mother nature is telling us to temper our enthusiasm as rounds of showers and thunderstorms increase. This action likely to carry us into early next week.
Clusters of storms are possible today and locally heavy rainfall is a good bet with any storm that goes up. The stronger cells may produce damaging winds and hail, too.
You can track the storms on regional radar:
The rounds of thunderstorms will then continue into the weekend ahead of a cold front swinging in from the northwest. The GFS is really ramping up the rainfall through Sunday:
Torrential rains and severe storms will be possible just ahead of this front. Cooler temps will then filter in behind the boundary with readings in the 80s for highs for most of next week. I don’t think anyone will complain about that.
Have a wonderful Friday and take care.
