Good Friday to one and all and welcome to a taste of fall. No, this isn’t the Dr. Seuss edition of the blog, but the opening line is catchy. Our much anticipated flirtation with fall has arrived and will hang tough through the weekend. This is a pattern that may try to repeat itself later next week.
A cold front continues to work across the region early today. Numerous showers and some thunder will be noted early today before clearing skies move in. That should set us up for a very nice afternoon and evening with temps only in the 70s for highs.
Your daily dose of weather trackers will get you through the day:
Saturday wll see partly sunny skies and temps warming only into the mid and upper 70s. Sunday looks equally as nice with upper 70s to around 80. Both days will start with temps into the low and middle 50s.
Another system will make a run at us by the time we go into late Monday and Tuesday of next week. This may touch off a couple scattered showers or storms and also keep our temps at or below normal into the middle of the week.
All signs currently point toward another big shot of cool air taking shape around a week from now. That’s when we may see a similar dip in the jet stream. The GFS shows this very well:
I could get used to this!
Have a great Friday and take care.
