Good Sunday to one and all. The stormy start to the weekend has given way to one heck of a nice weather pattern across Kentucky. This means we will continue to get in on more of the good stuff with pleasant temps carrying us into the beginning to the week ahead.
Skies today will be partly sunny as a very weak disturbance drops in from the northwest. Can we squeeze out a light shower? Yes. Will we? Probably not. Highs today will hit the low and mid 70s.
Monday will see similar temps with upper 40s and low 50s to start and afternoon readings of 70-75. Quite simply, it doesn’t get much better than this.
Low 80s will return for the middle and end of the week as our winds turn southwesterly. Our next threat for a shower or thunderstorm will come by Friday and Saturday as a weak system works into our region.
That system may be the catalyst for a bigger dip in the jet stream for the following week. Take a look at what the GFS sees:
A pattern like that could get pretty darn cool across much of the eastern half of the country.
Have a wonderful Sunday and take care.
