Good Saturday everyone and welcome to the weekend. We have a gorgeous day taking shape across our region as cool and dry air moves in. This dry air won’t last for too long as a wet system gets ready to introduce a big blast of chilly air next week.
Highs today will hit the low and mid 70s under partly sunny skies.
The weather for the WKU-Kentucky football game this evening looks very similar to the weather we had last Saturday evening.
Clouds begin to increase on Sunday as moisture begins streaming our way from the deep south. Some late day showers will be possible ahead of an area of low pressure moving in for Monday and Tuesday. Showers and thunderstorms should become rather common during this time and locally heavy rains appear to be a good bet. This system could bring a swath of 1″-3″ of water.
Temps Monday and Tuesday should stay in the upper 60s to around 70 for highs. A strong cold front moves through here Tuesday afternoon with a big blast of chill behind it. Check out the look of the European Model:
