Good Tuesday everyone and thanks for dropping by the blog. An area of low pressure is spinning across the Ohio Valley today and is funneling windy and warmer air into the region. This will give us a spring feel and may even spawn a few thunderstorms. Don’t get too used to it. We have a massive weather change ahead.
Highs today will warm into the mid and upper 70s as winds crank. A mix of sun and clouds will be noted and we have enough instability for scattered storms to go up. Some of these may even be strong or severe… especially across the east.

Cooler air will filter in behind the low on Wednesday with a leftover shower possible. Thursday will be much warmer as our winds gust up from the southwest. All of this will be ahead of a winter looking pattern engulfing much of the central and eastern states. Snow will fly from the Rockies into the Great Lakes. Check out the cold look from the European Model:
That will likely give us gusty showers this weekend with crashing temps. Readings early next week may fall into the upper 20s in some areas. This is a wild looking pattern for so early in the fall season and fits the extreme weather pattern we’ve been seeing for the past few years.
Have a great Tuesday and take care.
