Good Thursday to one and all. A strong cold front is rapidly working across the state early today and it’s being pushed along by a big storm to our northwest. This front has a line of showers and storms with it and a whole lot of wind that helps bring the chill back in.
The showers and storms should be to our east by late morning and early afternoon. Skies will slowly become partly sunny from west to east as winds continue to gust up. Temps today should hang out in the 60-65 degree range for much of the state. Let’s follow the rain and temps:
A huge upper level low will continue to pinwheel across the Midwest today before working into the Ohio Valley late Friday. That movement will bring the the threat for some light showers in here on Friday:
Temps Friday are going to struggle and may not get much above 50 degrees for highs… especially the farther north you live.
That chilly air hangs tough into Saturday and I can’t rule out a shower or two early.
Much warmer air then takes hold of the pattern by Sunday and that hangs tough into much of next week. Check out the above normal air on the GFS Ensembles:
Highs early next week will reach the 70s.
Enjoy your Thursday and take care.
