Good Saturday to one and all. We have one more chilly and raw day to go through before we kick thermometers into high gear. A huge warm up is in store as we head into next week as the 70s return. While the focus is on the warm weather, I’m already keeping an eye on the potential for another major cold snap by next weekend.
The weather today is going to feature more of what we had on Friday. Clouds will be floating around the region with a few showers to boot. Temps today will hang around in the low and mid 50s for much of the afternoon. The farther south you live, the better the chance of seeing some sun and temps nearing 60.
Sunday starts the period of nice weather as readings hit the low and mid 60s after a cold start. Monday through Thursday of next week will feature windy and warm weather with highs in the 70s and lows in the 50s.
A strong cold front may show up on the scene by Friday and that front may usher in another big blast of cold. The GFS is impressed:
A line of showers and thunderstorms may introduce the chilly air. This may take us into a prolonged period of colder than normal temps to end the month and start November.
Have a great Saturday and take care.
