A warm weekend outlook

Good Friday everyone. Our weekend is kicking off in fine fashion as thermometers get set to take off. We have hyped this warm-up for more than a week, so get out there and take full advantage of it.

Sunny skies will be with us today, with temps making a run toward 60 degrees.

Current temperatures

Saturday and Sunday will be even better as temps rise into the upper 60s to near 70 for many areas. The good news is we get to keep the sunshine as we throw a little more wind into the mix.

A strong cold front will roll our way by Monday, and this will bring a line of showers and thunderstorms with it. It looks like the highest rain chances will be during the afternoon and evening hours. Winds are going to really gust up as this front plows through here. Take a look at the dramatic temp swing from one side of this front to the other:

We could see our temps drop 20 to 30 degrees in just a few hours late Monday into Monday night. There is even the chance of seeing a few snow flurries early Tuesday, with highs struggling to get past 40 degrees.

That chilly change hangs around through the middle of next week with another storm system possibly impacting us by the following weekend. All the more reason to get out and enjoy the next few days.

Have a fantastic Friday and take care.
