Good Saturday everyone. We are kicking off a very nice weekend of November weather across the bluegrass state. Temperatures are slowing coming up as we hang on to the sunshine we’ve had for the past several days. While things are looking calm this right now, I’m watching some changes brewing for Thanksgiving weekend.
The forecast for today and Sunday look very much alike. Readings will hit the mid and upper 50s under partly to mostly sunny skies. A few clouds will increase by Monday ahead of a very weak system that rolls in by Tuesday and Wednesday. This system is fairly moisture starved and will only be able to squeeze out a shower or two.
Thanksgiving Day continues to look mild with temps near 60 under a partly sunny sky.
The change toward colder looks to be speeding up a bit on many of the latest model runs. They are suggesting a cold front dives in here on Black Friday with a shower threat and afternoon crashing temps. Here’s the GFS:
Check out the high temp drop after Thanksgiving:
That’s a nice shot of cold air moving in on Friday and lasting into the weekend. It’s from this point the models start to take on a much more wintry look into the following week. That’s something for winter weather fans to keep a close eye in the coming days.
Have a great Saturday and take care.
