Good Wednesday and welcome to the middle of the work week. Mother nature has a special treat for the folks across the bluegrass… sunshine. The sun has been in short supply over the past week and will be exactly what the weather doctor ordered.
Temps today will continue on the chilly side with highs around 40 degrees. We will slowly warm up with temps hitting the middle 40s on Thursday and near 50 by Friday. That’s the good news. The bad news is more rain moves in for the weekend.
The NAM shows the rain moving in by Saturday morning:
Those showers will continue through Sunday as colder air slowly settles in from the northwest. It could even get cold enough for a few flakes by Sunday night.
The next storm is the one getting my attention. It may take a southern track and that’s usually a good one to give us some wintry weather around here. The last several runs of the GFS for next Tuesday look very similar:
That’s one for us to definitely keep a close eye on in the coming days.
Make it a wonderful Wednesday and take care.
