Good Thursday everyone, and thanks for making us your online stop for weather. The winter storm that blasted parts of the Bluegrass continues to pull away, but I’m tracking two more storms that will affect our weather over the next week.
A few flurries will continue across the region early today as low temps remain. Readings will range from the low to middle 30s, and a gusty breeze might make it feel much colder.
A fast-moving storm will work from west to east across the South Friday into Saturday. That means an increase in clouds Friday, with light rain and snow developing during the afternoon and evening. That will change to light snow Friday night into Saturday morning and should have a swath of accumulating snow with it. Check out what that looks like on the GFS Ensembles:
Snow showers and flurries and very cold air will be noted for Saturday afternoon into Sunday.
The other system to keep an eye on shows up as we ring in the New Year:
That’s another Southern storm for us to track in the coming days.
Make it a great Thursday and take care.
