Good Sunday everyone and thanks for dropping by the blog. We have a pretty wild temperature pattern taking shape over the next several days. This will result in a big time warm up and another arctic blast.
A warm front is lifting northward across the state today. Clouds will increase and a late day or evening shower will be possible. Temps across the north may be just cold enough for a brief mix on the front end of the precipitation.

Temps by Monday will warm into the 50s and should hit the 60s by Tuesday. Take a look at the numbers from the GFS:
That’s a serious surge of warm air for this time of year, but it comes with a price. Scattered showers will be possible both days.
A powerful cold front will move in by early Wednesday and that will put an end to the brief mild spell. That front will touch off a nice line of showers and thunderstorms ahead of it:
Wednesday may start with thunder and temps near 60 and end with light snow and temps falling below freezing. Strong, gusty winds will also be possible.
Arctic air and snow chances will then move back in for the end of next week into next weekend.
Make it a great Sunday and take care.
