Good Thursday to one and all. Please take a moment to welcome Old Man Winter back to the Bluegrass State. Our spring fling is now a thing of the past, and we have arctic cold and chances of snow.
Our day will start with a few snow flurries and blowing snow showers as cold air continues to surge in from the northwest. Those snow showers will be on and off through the day. Temps will struggle to get out of the upper 20s with a mix of sun and clouds.
Your daily dose of trackers:
A fast-moving clipper moves in this evening and will cause light snow in the region into the overnight hours. This will be on the nose of some arctic air diving in. Light accumulations of snow are a good bet, with a coating to an inch possible for much of the state.
Winds will blow the snow around and temps by Friday morning will drop to about 10 degrees. Highs during the day will rebound only into the upper teens and low 20s. Gusty winds will make it feel much colder than that.
Another light snow maker moves in for Saturday, and that will probably put down some light accumulations.
As I said, welcome back, old man. Have a great Thursday and take care.
