Good Sunday, everyone. We’re putting the wraps on a very cold and windy weekend in the bluegrass state. On and off snow showers will come to an end early today as skies become partly sunny.
The weather for the new week ahead looks awfully busy, with two storm systems impacting our region.
The first will get in here Monday night and Tuesday. Temps ahead of this bad boy will warm toward the low 50s for Monday:
Clouds will increase quickly by Monday afternoon as a cold front edges closer. This front will swing across the state by Tuesday Morning with showers becoming widespread. Winds will really crank up as cold air dives in behind this front:
That could lead to the rain mixing with or changing to snow for a period early Tuesday. Temps will fall into the 30s behind this boundary and that air will grow even colder into mid week.
Temps by Wednesday may not make it past 30 degrees as gusty northwesterly winds continue to howl.
The next storm will then roll our way for later in the week. This one could end up being a little on the messy side, depending on the track it takes.
Overall, there is no sign of an early spring showing up.
Have a wonderful Sunday and take care.
