Good Tuesday to one and all. Old man winter gave us a bit of a break on Monday as temps hit 60s degrees. That break comes to a crashing end today as temps take a big time tumble behind a cold front.
This front will usher in early morning rain that will mix with and change to a period of light snow before ending. Winds will continue to gust up and may hit 35-40mph at times. Thermometers will drop quickly into the 30s this morning and stay there all day long.
Here’s your daily dose of trackers:
Slow clearing will take place later in the afternoon as cold air continues to funnel in from the northwest. This will lead to temps in the teens late tonight and Wednesday morning. Mid week high temps will struggle to get to the freezing mark.
The next storm system rolls our way by Thursday and Thursday night. Cold air will be in place as precipitation moves in and that spells a wintry mix:
Temps will rise Thursday night and most of the mix will switch over to plain rain. That would then carry us into Friday as temps rebound into the 40s.
The active weather pattern continues into next week with additional storms to impac the state.
Have a great Tuesday and take care.
