Good Friday to one and all. The bluegrass state weathered a quick hitting round of winter last night as snow, sleet and freezing rain rolled through. That is being replaced by much milder air blowing into the region today.
This will boost thermometers from the low and mid 30s this morning into the low 50s by the afternoon. Any morning precipitation will give way to a mix of sun and clouds. Winds will crank up from time to time.
Your Friday weather trackers:
Cooler air will filter in for Saturday with temps in the mid 20s to start and low to mid 40s for highs. Skies will be partly sunny and that will carry us into Sunday as thermometers make a run toward 50 degrees.
We will surge into the 50s for Monday as low pressure develops to our west. Winds will gust up and some late day showers and rumbles of thunder roll in. That system will then give way to a much colder pattern by Tuesday and Wednesday:
That will lead us into a very cold and wintry pattern through the first week or two of March. Winter is far from being over.
Have a great Friday and take care.
