Good Thursday, everyone. We’re slowly coming out of a very wintry stretch of weather across central and eastern Kentucky. 7 of the last 8 days featured snow across our region and thermometers have been off the charts cold for this time of year. That’s about to change in a big way by the weekend.
A mild up starts today as readings make a run into the high 30s and low 40s. Some clouds will slowly give way to some late day sunshine.
Friday will see more sunshine as temps rebound into the upper 40s to around 50 degrees. Normal high temps are in the lower 50s and we will finally surpass that into the weekend. That’s when thermometer readings head toward the lower 60s for Saturday and Sunday.
That will be a welcomed relief to those of us who continue to be in spring mode.
The mild up won’t last very long as a cold front moves in by Monday. That will bring widespread rain our way and be followed by another round of cold temps:
Make it a great Thursday and take care.
