More winter weather on the way

Good Saturday to one and all. A developing winter storm continues to take aim at the Ohio Valley and will deliver rain and snow to the bluegrass state. The action gets started on Sunday and will carry us into Monday.

Today’s weather will still be much colder than normal, but will be one of the better days we see for a while. Highs will hit the upper 40s and low 50s with a mix of sun and clouds. I can’t rule out a shower of rain or snow… especially in the south. Your daily dose of weather trackers:

Our winter storm is slamming the plains states today and will roll our way late tonight into Sunday. The storm will work right on top of the state and bring a cold rain into most of our region. That could be in the form of a mix or snow in the far north.

Colder air will then wrap in with a switch to periods of snow Sunday night and Monday:

That puts the heaviest swath of snow to our north with some light accumulations here into Monday:

NAM 2

Colder than normal temps and snow showers will then carry us into the middle of next week.

Have a great Saturday and take care.
