Showers and sun for the Easter Bunny

Good Sunday and Happy Easter. We have a half and half weather day taking shape for all the egg hunts in Kentucky. This will set the stage for another blast of cold air to jump start the month of April.

Morning showers will give way to some afternoon clearing and that bodes well for outdoor activities later in the day. Temps will warm toward the high 50s and low 60s as winds gust up.

A stronger cold front will swing through the region on Monday and this will bring a big time shot of cold temps. Highs Tuesday will be in the upper 30s and low 40s under partly sunny skies. Lows into the middle of the week will be in the 20s.

We need to keep an eye on a southern storm system that tries to head our way for the end of next week. The GFS is throwing some chilly rains our way by later Thursday:

The pattern continues to show signs of a major reversal as we head into the next week to ten days. The following week is likely to turn mild to warm across much of the country. That shows up well on the European Model for early in the week of the 8th:

Have a Happy Easter and take care.
