Good Saturday, everyone. Spring is finally delivering the goods to the bluegrass state with sunny skies and temps heading toward the 70s. This is the beginning of a very warm pattern that may also bring some thunderstorms our way.
In the short term… it’s fantastic! Highs today will make a run toward 70 under mostly sunny skies.
A weak cold front will drop in for Sunday and may spit out a scattered thunderstorm or two. The NAM shows a broken line of boomers firing up by the middle of the day:
Temps Sunday will be in the upper 60s to low 70s, depending on how the storm threat shakes out. Those isolated storms may hang around into Monday with temps in the 70-75 degree range.
Tuesday and Wednesday look downright warm with highs in the upper 70s to near 80 degrees.
Anytime you see a big temp contrast like that showing up, you have to keep a close eye on the severe weather threat.
Make it a great Saturday and take care.
