Tracking the severe weather threat

Good Thursday, everyone. The threat for strong and severe thunderstorms will be with us as the day wears on. We continue to track a strong cold front into the state, and that will set the stage for potentially  severe weather.

Damaging winds will be the primary threat, with large hail a possibility. The risk of tornadoes is small, but it’s something we will keep a close eye on.

These storms also will produce torrential rains that might cause local high water.
