Below normal temps to continue

Good Saturday and welcome to the weekend. Our colder than normal spring rolls on across the commonwealth of Kentucky. Frosty cold temps will start each day of the weekend and that has green thumbs scrambling.

Don’t think you’re in the clear after this weekend as more cold air is on the way later next week.

We will see some a good amount of sunshine over the next few days. Highs today will top out in the low to mid 50s and bounce into the low 60s for Sunday. Highs by Monday and Tuesday will head closer to the 70 degree mark.

This brief mild up will be along and ahead of a cold front that sweeps into the region by Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. That will bring a line of showers and gusty thunderstorms in here before the cold air returns.

Here’s how the European Model sees it:

The air behind that may end up being similar to the one we have out there today. This is part of an overall colder than normal trend for the next 10 days:GFS 2Make it a wonderful Saturday and take care.
