Good Friday, everybody. The weekend is closing fast and our weather continues to look a little on the stormy side. Rounds of showers and storms flared up on Thursday and those will be with us in over the next several days.
A stalled out front is straddling the Ohio Valley today and will combine with some juice from the Gulf of Mexico to spawn more storms today. Those will be most common during the afternoon and evening. Locally heavy downpours, a lot of lightning and small hail will be possible.
Let’s track it:
Saturday may feature a little better coverage of the showers and storms as a weak impulse gives the air a little more lift. Check out the action from the GFS:
Those storms may produce some heavy rain totals if they get cranking.
Another round of scattered storms will get going by the end of the day Sunday:
Monday and Tuesday will see temps surge back into the middle and upper 80s as we get a break in the widespread storms. Those look to return by the middle and end of the week.
Have a great Friday and take care.
