Good Thursday everyone and thanks for dropping by the blog. Scattered showers and storms cranked up on cue Wednesday evening, and that’s just the beginning. Rounds of storms will cross the area today and Friday and will put down heavy rainfall.
With high humidity, storms will be able to drop an inch or two of water in a short amount of time. These boomers will contain a lot of lightning, so keep that in mind if you are outdoors today.
The setup remains the same: a storm system moving across the Ohio Valley as newly formed tropical storm Andrea rolls up the East Coast:
Cooler and drier air will push in by Saturday afternoon and will carry us into Sunday. That should make for a good looking weekend for our region.
