Nice weather moves in

Good Friday to one and all. We have a much better weather pattern moving into central and eastern Kentucky and this will carry us into the start of the weekend. Cooler and drier air will make for a great time to get outside and enjoy life.

While the focus of the forecast is on the nice stuff of today, some not so nice stuff is lurking for the end of the weekend into early next week.

Let’s start with the good…

Temps today will be in the upper 70s to around 80 degrees with partly sunny skies. A nice northerly breeze will continue to blow with a few clouds trying to develop into the heart of the afternoon. Your regional radar shows the dry air across our region:

Saturday’s weather continues to look good with temps in the 50s to start and low 80s to end. Sunshine will make for a great day to get out on the lake or to take a dip in the pool.

Humidity levels and temps will increase for Sunday with temps back into the middle 80s. Isolated showers and storms will develop as the day wears on and that action will increase into early next week:

GFS

That setup may lead to some strong storms and locally heavy rains. Stop me if you’ve heard that one before.

Make it a great Friday and take care.
