Good Sunday everyone and Happy Father’s Day. Mother Nature has a little present for all the dads out there and that comes in the form of scattered showers and storms. It’s the gift that keeps on giving as we ramp up storm chances over the next few days.
Thermometer readings today will hit the low and mid 80s before the storms get going. Scattered is the name of the game and not everyone will get in on the action. That said, any storm that goes up may be a bit on the strong side.
Let’s track their development:
The threat for showers and storms will increase into Monday and Tuesday as an area of low pressure works across the region. Locally heavy rain and strong storms will be possible. Average rainfall through Tuesday should be on the turn of a half to one inch. Storms can drop more than that on a few areas.
Thermometer readings remain closet to normal over the next few days. The GFS Ensembles shows this well and shows how things try to heat up a bit for the following week:
Have a great Father’s Day and take care.
