Good Wednesday to one and all. Showers and thunderstorms have been common over the past few days, but they will take a few days off. Don’t get too used to i: The threat of afternoon and evening storms will return by the weekend.
Enjoy today’s weather. We have partly sunny skies returning as temps and humidity levels come down. Temperatures will top out near the 80 degree mark. Not too bad for the middle of June.
Thursday will see temps begin to climb, and that trend will carry us into the weekend:
Humidity will be on the increase during the same time, and that will lead to a tropical-feeling air mass across our region. With that much heat and and humidity, afternoon showers and storms might blow up at times.
That’s the GFS showing the juice coming our way from the Gulf of Mexico. This trend looks to increase as we close out June and head into July. The flow off the Gulf will give us a very tropical-feeling period.
Make it a wonderful Wednesday and take care.
